One day I was asked what I am working on the next couple of days, they need a report completed that is due in 14 days.

Julie said, "It's for California."

I said to Julie, "California? Cool. I'll get 14 days and 3 hours to do it."

She looked at me blankly for a few seconds. Julie does not fully appreciate a dry sense of humor.

I told her, "It was a joke. Get it?"

She said, "You didn't even say it like it was a joke."
